What we collect

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.

Consent and how to withdraw it

Submitting the form is your express consent to receive email from us, and you confirm the address is yours. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You can also email us and ask to be removed.

Who processes your information

We use a small number of service providers to run this site and our email:

• Kit (Kit.com, formerly ConvertKit) — stores subscribers and sends our email. Servers are located in the United States.
• Bluehost — hosts this website.

These providers act on our instructions and are bound to protect your information. Because some of them operate outside Canada, your information may be stored in or accessed from another country, where it can be subject to that country's laws and lawful access requests. Submitting the form means you understand this.

Cookies and tracking

This page does not set advertising cookies and does not run cross-site tracking pixels. If analytics are in use, they record aggregate visit counts only. Your browser's Do Not Track setting is respected where the analytics provider supports it.

How long we keep it

We keep your subscriber record for as long as you remain subscribed, and for up to 24 months after you unsubscribe so we can honour your removal and prove consent if challenged. After that it is deleted.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Subscriber data sits inside Kit's platform, protected by their security controls and access restrictions. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise, but we do not hold sensitive categories of information here, which limits what is at risk.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and Manitoba's applicable legislation, you may:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
• Ask us to delete your record entirely.
• Withdraw consent to marketing at any time.
• Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe we have handled your information improperly.

Children

This website and the guide are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted their details, tell us and we will delete the record.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised policy.
